According to legend, in the late Spring and Autumn period, the sword master of Yue, Ou Yezi, forged three famous swords, Longyuan, Taia, and Gongbu, at Qinxi Mountain in Longquan, and named Longyuan his hometown. Thus passed down the skill. Later, in order to avoid the taboo of Tang Emperor Li Yuan, “Quan” was used instead of “Yuan”, and Longyuan was renamed Longquan. Now, Longquan in Zhejiang is famous for producing swords.

Longquan Treasure Sword is known for its four major characteristics: sharp edge, cold light, balance of hardness and softness, and exquisite decoration. Its material selection is meticulous, with the saying “three pounds of hair, iron, and half a pound of steel”. The forging temperature is well controlled, the ingredients are uniform, and the patterns are fresh; The quenching method is also very unique, and grinding is very particular.
